Mark has received the Coldwell Banker Presidents Circle Elite, Presidents Circle Premier, Presidents Circle, Diamond Society, and Sterling Society awards for production. Additionally in 1991 Mark received the Rookie of the Year award from the Frank Ruegg Real Estate company and the Presidents Circle and Leading Edge Society awards from the Prudential real estate company.

Mark is a Graduate of Oregon State University with a BS in Business Administration and has received an AA in Business Administration from Linn Benton Community College.
Prior to selling real estate Mark worked as a professional chef with over 20,000 hours of cooking experience in restaurants in Paris, Honolulu, San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale.
Mark has been married to his wife, Cynthia, since 1983, and they have three children, Mari, Elise and Joe. Their favorite pastime is to enjoy the outdoor recreation that Central Oregon has to offer, including boating, camping, water skiing, snow skiing and more.
